So, for those who don't know, I am a mother to a 9 month old boy named Alexander, And boy is he a BIG small handful when it comes down to it! Btw he is the cause of my "I feel like starting a blog" thing. I don't know why I did since I don't even have the time to make myself a decent lunch nowadays, I come up with this idea.
Here is my BIG bundle of joy, he was about five months? I'm not quite sure, I take TONS of pictures (Who could blame me) I am pretty sure your iPhone has probably reached maximum capacity once or twice recording every single move of your little tot. We just had a doctors visit for his monthly check-up and he is 20 pounds of pure deliciousness! and is the size of a one year old, yikes!
Being a mom sure taught me a heck of responsibility and patience. I was more of a free spirited person, I had no worries for anyone but MYSELF! (God, I miss those days) Free time? I don't even know the word anymore, what is it like to relax? Want to know what really came in handy? My incredible disgusting OCD! I have a problem with NOT disinfecting everything in sight. I can't put Alex in a shopping cart at Target without running a wet wipe all over the handle bar and seat. I'd rather have someone look at me completely insane than to know my son has his hands in his mouth after having them all over the rail. Have you ever stopped to think the person who previously had it could've had a cold, a flu or just had their finger up their nose! EWW! Alright, you get it.
Change of subject, things I enjoy: Laundry, I love to do laundry. Is it just me or do you like to get stains out too? I have no problem letting Alex dump sweet potato purée all over his brand new white T. I have an obsession with Pinterest! WHY? Because it is also loaded with crazy super moms posting recipes of "Stain Removers"! I mixed Blue Dawn soap with Hydrogen Peroxide and let it sit on the stain and BAM! Came right off. Hmmm, I make ALL of Alex's food. I am crazy when it comes to my sons health and nutrition. NO SUGAR! Once you give them a taste of it, they're gone forever. But to each his own. DENTAL! I love my teeth, I floss after every meal and brush twice a day. I cant stress it enough when I say your smile is your best feature. What will you do when your teeth start to fall off? be embarrassed? Never smile? NO! Take care of them! That's why, Alex is going to hate me, but in the end he'll thank me for it. I brush his teeth and I will soon start to try to floss (Patience is all I need) That's if he'll let me, but brushing will just do.
Lets not forget to mention STORAGE and ORGANIZATION! I am a mad woman when it comes to that. I have to have everything in a place. I'd drag you down with me to the deep wonders of my obsession with organizing but I am pretty sure you will get bored. But I have no problem coming over and doing it for you. I will get whatever you need straightened out! Do you think I'm crazy yet? Lol.
Lets go deeper into the personal level. I wanted to go to school for the Culinary Arts, too bad it was $43,000! I'm sure it would have been worth every penny, but oh well. Umm, I have a fiancé named Robert, I love him beyond measure. He is a GREAT dad, never would have imagined to end up with my childhood crush. I met him at the age of 8. Man, was he a cutie! So, I'd beat him up and tease him all the time. Probably isn't the best way to show a boy you have a crush on them. Anyway in 2002 my parents decided to move to Florida for a "better lifestyle", I was ANGRY! but you know, looking back at it I thank them for taking me, my brother and sisters out of what could have been a disaster for our future.
In August of 2011 I took a vacation to New York and guess who I run into? Mr. Robert, man did time do him good! So, we made plans for the next day for a stroll in Central Park. Oct 25 he asked me to be his girlfriend. Skipping tooooooooo December of that year and my plans of moving to the big apple was ruined, long story short my aunt bailed on me. So Robert's mom offered to let me stay in her house, I had the best time living there for the year that I was there.
Until I got pregnant and things took a hard left. I moved back to Florida, I was a ball of tears. To be honest it was the best move I did. My son is in safe surroundings, I don't have to worry about shootings and best of all he can ride a bike down the street without a car coming full speed or getting mugged. Robert moved three months after I did, he wanted to be with "the love of his life" and be a family than to be miserable and alone. I was very happy and my family welcomed him with open arms. He found a great job here working on Disney grounds and is very content with his new life here in the sunshine state. I may have changed his life for the better and his mom thanks me more than enough for giving his son everything he needed in life, a wife.
Lets see, I have a two year old stepson did I mention that? His name is Joel. He is a spitting image of Robert. Handsome, clumsy, sweet and he won my heart over in just one second, I love him as my own. Sadly I don't see him, except through Facetime when hes over grandmas house. Unfortunately his mother and I don't exactly get long. I have "Baby momma Drama" and its really unnecessary because we should get along for our kids. My son deserves to know his brother and you know, later in life they will look for each other. So why not? This picture was taken the first day I held him. He was looking up at me smiling, I couldn't get enough of that sweet face! I could just eat him up!
Anyway I hope you can sort of get an idea of who I am. I am just a mom living day by day on this wonderful journey god has blessed me with. Like I said previously, I will try to keep up with the blog, now that we got this part out of the way, prepare for the next chapter of my survival with my BIG small soon to be Tot :D Until next time!
